children and youths annually participate in workshops on values Infrastructure of assistance centers has been improved, but continuous improvements should be made, and the maintenance of centers has a high cost.
In addition, it should not be forgotten that everything achieved depends on the donations received. The plans are to fill the centers according to their capacity; but to achieve it, it is necessary to count on a larger budget, since maintaining the centers in the present has an approximate annual cost of Lps. 4,000,000.00, and expanding the service means having more food and providing a balanced diet, a greater amount of medications, increasing the personnel, and offering more training to the personnel that is currently working in all the areas served.
Another plan is to open a High School in social promotion at Centro Básico Vicentino in 2,006, beginning with 30 or 35 students.
There are also plans to build a new boy’s home; and a piece of land has already been bought for this purpose in colonia San Vicente de Paúl, where most of the projects are located.
